Andreas Tscheppe

Elisabeth and Andreas Tscheppe began their project in 2006 in southern Styria, near the Slovenian border. Their vineyards, carefully terraced according to a design conceived by Andreas himself, retain a wild and vibrant energy. Located at around 500 metres above sea level, they are rich in wild herbs, natural vegetation, and an extraordinary variety of insects. Insects play a particularly important role in Tscheppe’ philosophy, to the point of inspiring the names and imagery of their labels, as they consider them the most authentic indicator of the health of the vineyard.
