Barranco Oscuro

Manuel, a pioneer of Spanish viticulture, founded his domaine in 1979 on clay-schist hills at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. His vineyards are located at an average altitude of 1,300 metres above sea level and are among the highest in Europe. Today, alongside his son Lorenzo, Manuel cultivates around 12 hectares using methods that are even more rigorous than those required by organic farming standards. The vineyards are planted with both local varieties and international grapes, and Manuel has become an undisputed reference point in the world of wine.
