Claus Preisinger

Overlooking Lake Neusiedl, just a short distance from the Slovak and Hungarian borders, Claus Preisinger produced his first vintage in 2000, starting with just three hectares of vineyards. Over the years, the estate has grown, while Claus has remained true to his core principles: rigorous biodynamic farming, precision and experimentation in the cellar, and a focus on the region’s native grape varieties—Grüner Veltliner, Weissburgunder, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent, and Zweigelt—combined with the use of a wide range of vessels, including small and large oak casks as well as amphorae of different shapes and origins.
