Croci

The history of the Croci family dates back to the early 20th century, when the family owned several scattered plots of land, woodlands, and a vineyard, while practicing subsistence farming. After a long tradition of selling their grapes, in the 1980s they decided to bottle their own wine, opening a new chapter in their story. They have always followed the Emilian tradition of natural bottle refermentation, cultivating the local grape varieties: Ortrugo, Malvasia di Candia, and Marsanne among the white grapes, and Barbera and Bonarda among the reds. Their work is not limited to wine: they also grow wheat. Today, on the Monterosso hill, an evolutionary grain mix is sown, transformed into flour and labelled as a cru, Giorgino.
