Since the early 1980s, Elio has been running Cascina Disa, an estate acquired by his family in 1965. The domaine stands out for the care and attention devoted to its vineyards and for the respect shown towards the surrounding environment, preserving the local woodlands with the aim of creating a favourable microclimate, freshness, and biodiversity. All the vineyards are located around the winery, with south-east and south-west exposures and blue marl soils beneath the surface. The terroir is that of Perno, one of the most prestigious areas in the Barolo region.
