Gianfranco Manca has been a pioneer of a conscious and natural approach to winemaking, in a land as unique as Sardinia. He began his career as a baker, a craft inherited from his family, who also passed down to him historic vineyards in Nurri, about eighty kilometres north of Cagliari. These are very old vines, planted mainly with Cannonau, but also with more than thirty other varieties. Gianfranco has always sought to give an authentic and profound expression of this extraordinary diversity and precious heritage, tending his vines and making his wines with the utmost care and observation, and never relying on chemical treatments.
