Vina Čotar

In the Slovenian Karst, just a few kilometres from the Italian border, lies the winery founded in the 1970s by Branko Čotar and now run by his son Vasja. The Karst is a limestone plateau characterised by clay-rich soils and persistent winds blowing from the sea or from the north. It is here that the Čotar family cultivates 7.5 hectares of vineyards through careful and respectful farming practices, producing charismatic, structured wines that are never light in character.
